Senator Larry Cofelt died early in the morning of July 27, 2026, and his family confirmed he died in the early morning around 3:00 AM. Funeral arrangements are already being discussed but the family has asked for the privacy during the planning and execution of the funeral plans.

President Laylin lowered Jesstopian flags on all government buildings for the duration of the week in honor of Senator Larry Cofelt.
